Retro: First Trimester is Over!!

2026 Intro:

First trimester over? At the time of this writing, Liberty is just over five months away from turning 16. She's about to get her license. About to start applying for colleges, going on dates (maybe, I don't know), and just growing up faster than I want her to. Reading something from 16 years ago is mind-blowing. Parents, please, listen when I say this. Time is a fickle b+>#h. You will look at your child one day, no matter if you believe it or not, and say 'Where did my baby go?' Time will take your kids from you. Take the pictures, take the videos, make the memories. Because one day, your kid will be having kids of their own while you're in an empty house wondering where did the time go.

So today, India's 13 weeks along.  Yay!!!  First trimester is over.  That means, barring any unforeseen actions, we're going to have a baby in approximately 26-27 weeks.  I know that last sentence sounds depressing, but I'm really happy, and that's the way I am.

The past couple of days, India's been feeling a lot better in the morning.  She cooked her own breakfast yesterday morning, something she hasn't done in just about 3 months, and cooked me breakfast this morning, while also cleaning the dishes in the sink.  She has her morning energy back, but it fades throughout the day still, but it's coming back, and that's all that matters.

Eventually, she'll be back to normal, which for her is wanting to clean the entire house in just under 30 minutes.  No joke.  She really can clean our apartment in about 30 minutes.  That's making the bed, doing dishes, sweeping, swiffering, vacuuming, and any clothes that need to be done, etc.  Crazy, isn't it?  It takes me all day to vacuum, but that's because I'm lazy.

Only thing I can't wait for her to do again is the litter box.  God help me, I hate doing the litter box.  I won't let her do it while she's pregnant, but I think after she has the baby, she'll be able to do it.

So, 13 weeks down, about 27 to go.  2010 is going to be interesting.

2026 Intro: Pregnancy updates. It's really weird seeing myself write about Liberty as though she wasn't here in person. The fact that we, at this point, didn't know if she was a boy or girl is crazy. Retro: 'Far East' Murfreesboro Review

2026 Intro: The very first blog I posted. Probably around 2009-ish? I only say that because the third or fourth blog I posted was about Alabama winning their first National Championship in 17 years, and that was early 2010. 2026 Intro to The Pixel Dad Writes

 I'm starting up another blog. I tried for the first time back around 2010. Loved writing, hated trying to get readers. I had too high of expectations. I didn't know what I was doing. Still don't. Blogging might be dead, I don't know. But having been given a nudge to write again, here I am. I am going to be posting all of my writings from all the times I wrote. And maybe post new things.
